Dry across central Europe
High temperatures in Portugal and southern Spain during Wednesday. Cooler and breezy in the north of Spain. High pressure extends across western Europe, whilst low pressure affects eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Dry and bright for France and the Low Countries. Dry but rather cool for Germany and Denmark. Scattered thunderstorms for Italy, also Corsica and Sardinia. A few heavy showers for the Balkans, but brighter than recent days. Unsettled with widespread thundery rain for Greece and Turkey. A few showers for Norway and it will be cool. Milder in Sweden, although fairly cloudy with a little rain. An area of persistent rain affects northern Scandinavia. Cloudy for Poland, risk of thundery rain in the east. Widespread thunderstorms across western Ukraine and Belarus. Very warm for eastern Ukraine and Russia.
A hot day again for Spain and Portugal, highest temperatures toward the south-west. Isolated thunderstorms may develop by afternoon. Dry across the western Mediterranean. Warm too for southern France and dry overall. A weak front brings patchy rain for northern France. Sunshine and dry for Italy, Switzerland and Austria. The Balkan states are also likely to be dry, but heavy rain and thunderstorms will affect Greece and Turkey. It will be breezy across northern Europe, with fronts producing patchy rain for Belgium, northern Germany and Denmark. Partly cloudy but mainly dry for southern Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Persistent rain for southern Norway and Sweden. Drier across northern Scandinavia, although Finland may see a little rain. It will be hot for western Russia.
