Cold for much of central and northern Europe, some snow


Tuesday
Windy across England with rain clearing. A wet and windy day to come across Portugal, Spain, France, The Low Countries and Germany with spells of heavy rain. Further snowfall is expected across The Alps.
Cold across Scandinavia. Snow showers are forecast for western parts of Norway with more snow across northern Norway, northern Sweden and northern Finland. Rain is expected across southern parts of Finland, southern Sweden, The Baltic States, Belarus and western parts of the Ukraine.
High pressure will give a settled, dry day to the eastern Ukraine, Romania, most of the Adriatic Region, The Balkans and Turkey. Fair and dry with sunny spells across Italy and this extends west across Sardinia into the Balearics. Very windy across the western Mediterranean.


Wednesday
Showery outbreaks of rain across Spain and Portugal today. Some patchy rain for the balearics too. Low pressure will give rain and showers to Italy as well as strong winds to the north. Breezy with some rain in Greece. Fair for Turkey with sunny spells.
Outbreaks of showery rain affecting northern France. Drier elsewhere with some bright spells. Cold in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Sleet and snow affecting southern Germany, but cold and mostly bright in Poland.
Sleet showers for Denmark, chilly here too. Low pressure brings snow to the southern half of Sweden. Some sleet and snow for the baltic States and Finland. Cold and dry for northern Sweden. Snow showers in western Norway, some heavy.
