Unsettled spring continues for much of Europe

Thursday
An area of rain through eastern and southern parts of Spain today, some of this heavy at times. More western and northern parts will have showers, and some of these could be heavy at times. Across France there will be showers, some of them heavy with the chance of more persistent rain in the far south. Further showers over the Low Countries and Poland as well as Germany, Switzerland, Hungary and Austria.
A fairer day across Italy with sunny spells and dry here. Fair too through Greece and Turkey with some good periods of sunshine here. More sunshine in most of Bulgaria and Romania, although there will be showers in the west.
To the north the Baltic States will be rather cloudy, as will be Finland. Some showery conditions over Sweden and these showers could be heavy in the north. Showers too through Denmark and Norway with some of these heavy at times.



Friday
Some rain for northern Spain today, but fair across Portugal and other parts of Spain. Most of France should enjoy sunshine with dry weather, although some cloud affecting the far southeast. The cloud and outbreaks of rain across northern and western Italy too, and showery conditions for the Balearics and central Mediterranean islands. Drier for Greece and Turkey with the warmth continuing here.
Germany and the Low Countries should have some sunny spells and will be mainly dry, apart from showers in norther Germany. Heavy showers too across northern Poland, but the rest of the country should be dry.
Cloud and some rain through the Baltic States and into Finland, with some heavy showers for the south of Sweden. Showers for Norway too but some sunny spells here as well.
