Fine and summery throughout the Mediterranean
Today Hot, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal with highs in the low to mid 40s in southern parts of Iberia. Warm and dry as well across France, The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Most of Italy will have a warm, summer's day but there is a slight risk of heavy showers in the extreme south west of the country. Warm, dry and sunny across The Adriatic Region. Heavy showers and thunderstorms will affect Kosovo, western Bulgaria, Albania and Greece with local torrential downpours of rain. Apart from some heavy, thundery showers across northern Turkey, much of the country will be sunny, dry and very warm. An area of rain will lie across Sweden into Denmark, north west Germany and The Low Countries. This clears The Low Countries by the afternoon but will be heavy across Sweden. The rest of Germany, Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria and The Baltic States will be dry with sunny spells. Warm with sunny spells across Romania and the Ukraine but some heavy thunderstorms develop as well. Showers will affect western parts of Norway with eastern Norway and Finland having a dry, sunny day.
Monday A sunny, hot day to come across Portugal and Spain. A fine summer's day into the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy. Showers are forecast across Belgium, southern Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Switzerland, some heavy with a risk of thunder. A dry day across the Netherlands. Frequent, heavy showers to affect Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Outbreaks of rain are likely across The Baltic States with lots of showers across northern Russia. Most of the Adriatic Region will be warm and dry apart from a few isolated showers. Most of Turkey, Romania and The Ukraine looks dry and fine. Heavy rain and heavy showers are expected across Greece.
