High pressure builds over Europe bringing increasingly settled and hot conditions


Tuesday
Showers continuing over western parts of Spain and spreading into northern parts of Portugal throughout the morning. Elsewhere, across Iberia, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey, it will continue dry, hot and sunny. Perhaps an isolated shower flaring up over Italy and Greece.
Dry, hot and sunny conditions also continue for France, the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland and Austria though there will be a few showers at times over the Alps. Further east for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary there will be a little more cloud around but it will remain bright, mostly dry and warm.
Dry and warm conditions spread into Scandinavia too giving a fair, bright day for Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden. A few scattered showers for northern parts of Norway and Sweden while Finland and the Baltic States could see outbreaks of rain at times.

Wednesday
The Mediterranean continues to experience dry and sunny conditions through Wednesday. It will be very hot for Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. Very warm for the Balkans, Greece and Turkey.
A mostly dry, sunny and very hot day for France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Germany. A few showers over Alpine regions of Switzerland and Austria. Fair and warm for Poland, the Czech Republic and much of Austria. A few showers but mostly fine and dry for Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
Warm and fair conditions extend into much of Scandinavia and northern Europe on Wednesday. A dry day for most with a few showers at times for the Baltic States as well as northern parts of Norway and Sweden.
