Fine across France and the Med

Monday
Thundery downpours will break out increasingly during the day for central Spain, also northern Portugal. Scattered storms for southern Spain, but northern Spain stays dry. Plenty of dry weather across the Mediterranean. Local showers for northern Italy.
Fine weather also extends through France and into the western Alps. Sunshine and morning fog patches. Cool and showery for Germany and Poland with brisk northwesterly winds. A few showers also running in across Belgium and the Netherlands. Some heavy showers for Romania, scattered showers for Austria and Hungary.
Low pressure influences Scandinavia, with chilly northerly winds prevailing. Frequent showers for the Baltic states, Finland and eastern Sweden. Drier toward southern Norway and Sweden. Snow showers across the far north.

Tuesday
Storms are likely to break out further south across Spain and Portugal, most widespread later in the day. Staying dry for northern Spain and the Balearics. Odd showers for central Italy and southern Greece, but most of the Mediterranean continues to see fine weather.
Dry with sunshine and early fog across France, Switzerland and northern Italy. Patchy light rain for Austria. Scattered heavier showers across eastern Europe. Areas of showers too for central and eastern Germany. Chance of a shower for the Low Countries. Staying cool across central and eastern Europe with a northerly breeze.
A ridge of high pressure extends into Scandinavia bringing mostly fine and sunny conditions to Sweden and Norway, perhaps some rain in the far west later. Showers around the Baltic. Mainly dry for Finland but a chilly northerly wind.
