An area of very heavy rain spreads across central and eastern parts of the Mediterranean


Friday
Showers in Spain on Friday, most in the north. Portugal will have showers in northern areas too. Rain for Italy, some of it heavy in central and northern areas. Rain too in western Greece whilst heavy showers and thunderstorms affect western and southern Turkey.
Breezy with rain spreading eastward across France. Showers or longer spells of rain for the Low Countries and Germany. Dry and fair in Poland. Snow and rain affecting Switzerland and western and southern parts of Austria. Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow for Slovakia and Hungary but staying mostly dry for the Czech Republic.
Cloudy with some patchy rain in Denmark. Breezy with outbreaks of rain for the Baltic States and some snow in Finland. Sweden should be mostly dry, some bright or sunny spells in the south with sleet or snow showers developing later. Dry over most of Norway and feeling cold though snow arrives to the south later.

Saturday
Scattered showers for Portugal and western parts of Spain, staying dry with good spells of sunshine to the west. Heavy rain clears to the south of Italy leaving a sunny and mostly dry day here. Heavy rain spreads across Greece and into western Turkey. Heavy showers for southern coastal regions of Turkey too.
Rain clears eastern France to leave much of the day dry and bright though another area of rain arrives to the west later. Scattered showers with some spells of sunshine for the Low Countries and Germany. Showery outbreaks of rain clear northeast over Poland to leave sunny spells and showers. Snow and rain clear away from Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic to leave a sunny and dry afternoon.
A breezy and wet day for Denmark. Outbreaks of wintry precipitation arrive over the Baltic States later. Breezy for Finland and northern Sweden while a band of sleet and snow spreads northwest across Finland, Sweden and Norway. Drier but cloudy to the north and west.
