High pressure builds over Europe bringing settled, dry conditions and rising temperatures
Another mostly dry, hot and sunny day across the Mediterranean again on Monday. Portugal, the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey all continue to experience settled conditions. A few showers may flare up over western parts of Spain and central Italy through the afternoon and evening but elsewhere it will stay dry & fine.
Dry and settled conditions prevail over much of western and central Europe too on Monday. Very warm in France with good spells of sunshine. Dry, fine and mostly bright for the Low Countries, Germany, Hungary and Poland. Some scattered showers affecting southern Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Alpine region.
A band of rain sweeps into southern parts of Norway and Sweden and across Denmark on Monday. Ahead of this there will be frequent showers for much of Norway and Sweden. Outbreaks of rain too for the Baltic States while Finland will be mostly dry with just the odd isolated shower.
Showers continuing over western parts of Spain and spreading into northern parts of Portugal throughout the morning. Elsewhere, across Iberia, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey, it will continue dry, hot and sunny.
Dry, hot and sunny conditions also continue for France, the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland and Austria though there will be a few showers at times over the Alps. Further east for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary there will be a little more cloud around but it will remain bright, dry and warm.
Dry and warm conditions spread into Scandinavia too giving a fair, bright day for Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden. A few scattered showers for northern parts of Norway and Sweden while Finland and the Baltic States could see outbreaks of rain at times.
