Weather improves across north Europe
Wednesday Hot and dry for most of Spain and Portugal. The Pyrenees seeing more frequent and heavier showers today. Dry for the Mediterranean islands and much of Italy. Thunderstorms breaking out across the Balkans again today. Unstable too throughout Greece with heavy showers and thunderstorms. The risk of a light shower in Turkey but mostly dry here. Much of France staying dry and fine though some scattered showers developing later. Some showery rain affecting coastal areas of the Low Countires, otherwise maninly dry here. Largely dry and fine across Germany though breezy towards the coast. Sunny spells and showers throughout Switzerland and Austria. Heavy rain across central areas of Poland and Hungary. Wet, cloudy with heavy rain and locally gusty across Denmark. Heavy rain pushing into southern coastal areas of Sweden later. Elsewhere across Sweden will be mostly dry. A few showers affecting southern Norway, otherwise dry. Heavy rain pushing into Lithuania later though countries further north should stay dry. Breezy with scattered showers across Finland.
Thursday Staying hot and dry for most of Spain and Portugal, though again the Pyrenees seeing more frequent and heavier showers. Dry for the Mediterranean islands and much of Italy. An improved day across the Balkans. Sunshine and mostly dry weather across Greece though a few showers are expected in the north and across Turkey. Largely dry through France though again heavy showers towards the east and southeast. Unsettled across Switzerland into the far west of Austria. Dry and fine acrosss the rest of Austria, Germany and the Low Countries. Any rain clearing to the south of Poland. A better day across Denmark. The dry and fine weather continues on across the Baltic States. Showery rain affecting parts of Sweden and Norway into west Finland.
